Eweleaze Farm, Dorset
Open in August only, this campsite boasts its own private shingle beach. It has space for 1,000 pitches; however, its excellent amenities, including a bakery, restaurant and wood-fired sauna, mean it books up fast.
Aberafon, Wales
The setting could not be more perfect at this beachside campsite on the Llyn Peninsula, with the sea on one side and the mountains behind. With its own private beach, this spot is a favourite with swimmers and surfers. Snowdon is just half an hour away, meaning it also appeals to those with a thirst for mountain climbing.
Beach View Holiday Park, Suffolk
You have a choice of staying in a tent, lodge, apartment or caravan in this holiday park by the sea. The park is well equipped and is a firm favourite with bird watchers, with RSPB Minsmere a short stroll away.
Troytown, Isles of Scilly
The Isles of Scilly boast the highest annual average temperatures in the country, so you are in with a good chance of fine weather if you pitch up at this westernmost campsite in England. Although it is something of a trek to get to, Troytown is hard to beat if you want memorable coastal views to wake up to.
